About us
In 2001 Mark Johnston was involved in a sea rescue whilst working as a lifeguard on Mawgan Porth beach near Newquay. The resulting rescue saw Mark become the very first RNLI Lifeguard to receive a bravery award for his efforts. Mark was subsequently invited to attend the Daily Express Vodaphone National Lifesavers Awards in London where he became one of ten lifesavers to be honoured with this prestigious award.
